John G. Ellis, M.D
Dr. Ellis began his orthopaedic practice in the Temecula Valley and Inland Empire in 1991. He has the experience of over 1000 hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgeries to include complicated and revision procedures. The practice has grown to include joint replacement procedures with the Riverside County orthopaedic residency training program.
Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, he was recertified in 2003, and is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Advances in joint replacement have been welcomed to specifically include the exciting science of joint resurfacing. Dr. Ellis has trained in the Birmingham hip replacement technique, as well as computer navigation for the procedure. He has performed the procedure previously without, and now with, specialized computer guidance. The early results with this technique have been excellent and have served to reinforce the expected superiority of the system in the appropriate patient. Dr. Ellis has the experience and has performed the volume of procedures to determine if resurfacing surgery is the correct procedure for the individual. With 18 years of private practice and over 500 hip procedures performed he can tailor the procedure to fit the individual.
Not only does Dr. Ellis practice in the Inland Empire, he lives in the Temecula Valley with his family and is active in local life and activities. This has created an awareness of the needs and interests of regional patients, as well as allowing for rapid availability for thorough and quality patient care.
